Full Tilt has just opened a brand new info site comprising all the facts of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an incredible online heads up tournament highlighting some of the most talented big money online poker players challenging the online poker phenom Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The innovative new website section presents internet poker players and followers the opportunity to track this incredible internet poker challenge and check out regular updates. Close to six months ago, the 23 year old online poker pro delivered a heads-up challenge open to any poker player with the cash, time and capability to accept it. Any player entering the durrrr challenge has to wager $500,000 against Dwan’s $1.5 million. durrrr’s challenge states that at least 50,000 online poker hands need to be played simultaneously at 4 or more tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the challenge, the poker player who has more cash will win the pool. Basically if you enter the Full Tilt Challenge and win $1 after the 50,000 poker hands, then you will earn Dwan’s $1.5 Million, but if he wins by $1 then he will take home your $500,000.

Thus far, a number of professional poker players have agreed to to play the “durrrr challenge”, including Full Tilt Poker Star Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, though, only Patrick Antonius has accepted the poker challenge. Stunning New Encore Sin City Nightclub and Hotel to Come to Life

Filed under: sin city casinos, vegas, vegas casinos — December 23, 2008 @ 3:14 am

wynn
Vegas magnate Steve Wynn certainly has something new to be anxious about this holiday season. Investing about $2.3 billion, the brand-new hotel dubbed Encore will be open to the public this coming week.

This posh casino-hotel is joined to the extremely trendy Wynn Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip. While tons of Sin City hotel-casino investors are trying their hardest to discover a manner to keep their hotel-casinos open, Wynn is doing extremely well with his $billion Vegas properties.

This 2000 room casino-hotel is another incredible creation by Wynn. The big attraction of this hotel will be the nightclub, dubbed XS. Steve has noticed in the last few years that nightclubs are a very big draw in Las Vegas, Nevada, and not necessarily the hotel-casinos like they were in the past. Steve says that Sin City nightclubs typically make more income and are a big hotspot for the younger set.

Wynn has also constructed a posh steakhouse near the XS nightclub. Inspired by the famous Colombian artist, Fernando Botero this circular restaurant has a massive Botero statue as the main centerpiece. Not quite fantastic as the nightclub which it is adjacent to; the Botero steakhouse is intended to go rather well with the flamboyant Sin City nightclub.
The thought pertaining to XS and Botero is a kind of St. Tropez atmosphere, where the party continues without a pause and the main part of the partying occurs near a swimming pool or oceanside. Times are changing drastically in Vegas, where folks fancy drinking and parties to slots these days.

Robbie Knievel will Jump Mirage Hotel-Casino’s Restored Volcano

Filed under: Las Vegas, sin city events, vegas — December 19, 2008 @ 3:31 am

mirage volcano
With close to one year of resting, the Mirage Casino and Hotel’s prominent volcano will be revived better and more fantastic than in the past. The popular Las Vegas, Nevada hotel and casino is doing their best to interest as many vacationers as they can to check out their restoration.

This upcoming New Year’s Eve, the daredevil Robbie Knievel will try a motorcycle jump over the Mirage Hotel’s artificial volcano. This stunt will commemorate the finale of a three-year transformation of the LV casino and hotel. During this period, the Sin City hotel and casino has spent more than $110 million upgrading their rooms and suites.

This New Year’s Eve jump is supposedely Knievel’s final stunt in the United States. The act will go on for 5 mins. and include fireworks and a modern soundtrack. The music for the feat has been recorded by Mickey Hart (former Grateful Dead drummer). Robbie Knievel is the son of the deceased Evil Knievel-the world’s first and most recognized daredevils.

The LV Mirage was constructed in 1989 by LV tycoon Steve Wynn and was deemed as Sin City’s 1st megaresort. This reconstruction is one of a set of hotels on the Sin City Strip as of late. The casino-hotel desires that this stunt will invite a big number of sightseers to the Sin City hotel. The inspiration behind the reconstruction is to outshine other popular Vegas hotspots like the Bellagio megaresort.

De La Hoya against Manny Pacquiao Guaranteed to be the Fight of the Year

Filed under: boxing, sin city events, vegas — December 2, 2008 @ 2:12 am

de la hoya
The LV event most boxing fanatics have been itching to see is happening this week. De La Hoya will match wits against one of the sport’s existing greatest fighters, Pacquiao. This match is scheduled for Sat. December 6th in the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Without a doubt there has been many words spoken in Las Vegas, Nevada about this bout. The Golden Boy has cut his weight down to 147 lbs. to participate as a welterweight, and people say that Oscar De La Hoya might not be as physically powerful since the drop in weight. Manny has in the past boxed one time as a lightweight and wishes to fight in the welterweight division. Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao is also the current lightweight title-holder , and is considered by many authorities to be the best fighter in the world.

This is Oscar “Golden Boy” De La Hoya’s first tour back to Las Vegas for a bout since he competed against Floyd Mayweather Jr. back in May of 2007. This boxing match is no doubt a sell-out for the MGM Sin City. Vacationers to Sin City have declined in the past few months, but LV events like this one seem to have a way of bringing folks to Vegas.

This fight will undoubtedly be one for the books as it brings together the two best boxers of the last few decades in a 12 round welterweight contest. Oscar De La Hoya v. Manny tickets are available to buy. If you see only one Las Vegas event during this year, this is without question the LV Event to enjoy.

Consumer Electronics Show LV Guests Astounded by Hard to Believe Hotel Rates

Filed under: Las Vegas, las vegas deals, sin city events — November 21, 2008 @ 10:15 pm

c.e.s.
Visitors of next year’s Consumer Electronics Show LV may be in for a nice shock. Usually, approximately at this time of the year it is almost impossible to discover a vacant LV hotel and casino anywhere inside Vegas, but the upcoming C.E.S. Vegas is turning out to be an exception to the rule. Some of the most famous hotels on the Las Vegas, Nevada Strip have shockingly lowered their prices at a maximum of twenty percent.

Virtually 100,000 visitors invade LV each and every year to inspect the innovative electronics displayed by the C.E.A.. The Las Vegas, Nevada event is on display from January 8th to the 11th with the majority of the events being presented in the Venetian Resort and the Sands Vegas. This ends up being a time when stumbling on a nice hotel rate develops into almost an impossible job.

The C.E.A. announced last week that a bunch of the Vegas Strip hotel and casinos have cut their hotel room rates, the majority of them by a pretty big amount. If you have already booked your room, you probably want to see if there are any better deals on Sin City hotels. A good example of this is: the Tropicana casino hotel has reduced their nightly room rate by around seventeen percent. The biggest of the Las Vegas, Nevada hotels and resorts that operate near the Consumer Electronics Show, have begun offering special Consumer Electronics Show rates to the fans of the LV event.

Most specialists state that this drop in Las Vegas hotel resort prices is because of the detail that most of the electronics corporations have had to reduce the quantity of the workforce they are dispatching to the show. This compels the LV hotel resorts to decrease their room rates to attract more visitors to their hotel resorts during this show. While others propose that it is because of the present absence of vacationers to Las Vegas in contrast to previous years.

Sin City and its two faces

vegas casinos
LV is full of contradictions recently. For the typical LV traveler, their hard cash will last a great deal longer than before. On the other side of the coin for the Sin City local, times are a bit more tricky.

The Las Vegas, Nevada vacationers will be incredibly pleased with the bargain prices of Las Vegas, Nevada hotel rooms, even on the Sin City Strip. Without bringing up the large amount of cheap Sin City show tickets, Sin City coupons, and even Sin City food credits. Right now is unquestionably a peak moment to go to LV for the budget vacationer. Of course the economic state does affect some aspects of Sin City for the sightseers. As, a few shows are required to close or search for new theaters. “Stomp Out Loud” being the most obvious case of this variation, they are exiting out of their Planet Hollywood resort spot in January.

To show an example of how the country’s financial situation is affecting the LV residents, you can get a picture from the very same Las Vegas casinos, Las Vegas hotels, and Sin City restaurants that offer these bargain prices and Vegas coupons. Recently Las Vegas has noticed the amount of tourists plunge, this in turn affects the run of the mill waiter, bellboy, or casino worker. The majority of the major Sin City Strip hotel casinos have been required to lay off people because to this situation.

One thing is sure of this time; the outlook is very optimistic for LV visitors. You will be able to stumble on some inconceivable Las Vegas offers, and with the price of gasoline on the decline these are terrific times to visit Las Vegas.

The best way to find the best Las Vegas room and flight discounts

Filed under: Las Vegas, las vegas deals, sin city coupons — October 22, 2008 @ 3:00 am

vegas deals
Even if you are on a tight budget, Las Vegas can be an inexpensive escape if you take your time and do some research. It is definitely important to have a clear picture of what you want to do, how long you want to stay, and where you will be spending the night. If you have a clear picture of these concerns, then your escape to Las Vegas will undeniably be one to remember always.

When it comes to purchasing a flight, this may be the most difficult part to find the cheapest flight. Many airlines have been cutting down their flights recently, due in part to the financial and gas situation in the country. Some good advice to consider is to compare travel packages from some different companies; a good example of these kinds of packages might be hotel + flight + car rental for a specific price. You may find in some cases that it is more economical to purchase these separately. The price difference you might find using Vegas coupons could be significant.

One idea that you may find useful is to sign up for e-mail notifications from the hotels and airlines you are interested in. You will receive an e-mail when their best Vegas hotel deals are available usually two months early. It is a good idea to make sure that if you have already reserved a hotel room, keep checking the rates that they are offering up till the day of your trip. The prices could drop so if you see a price less expensive than the one you reserved, try to speak with the manager of the hotel about dropping the cost.

Remember that there are fewer visitors to Vegas nowadays, Sin City hotels and casinos are looking to attract clients. Right now is a perfect moment to get online and book a flight and hotel to Las Vegas.

Owners of Tao Beach invest in all new restaurant in The Pallazo Las Vegas

Filed under: Las Vegas, las vegas reviews, sin city nightclubs — October 14, 2008 @ 7:34 pm

palazzo
Along with the huge success of the Tao Las Vegas at the Venetian Resort Hotel, the owners of this Sin City nightclub are launching a spanking new Roman/Mediterranean designed restaurant called Lavo located in the Palazzo hotel resort. This revolutionary design is inspired by the Roman bathhouses of years past. A ton of work has been invested into the historical accuracy of this Las Vegas nightclub/restaurant and into the minute details as well.

This nightclub/restaurant can seat 300 people and features a menu full of Mediterranean cuisine. Their menu is designed to encourage the sharing of appetizers and small servings, as opposed to large one-person plates. The restaurant section also has an outdoor courtyard which can hold 100 visitors and overlooks the famous Sin City Strip.

The nightclub section has a state of the art audio and video set-up while live DJs are always available to keep the crowd entertained. The nightclub stays open six nights a week opening its doors at 10:00 pm and closing around 5 am. What the club doesn’t have is a VIP section, which the owners say is to have a more shared ambiance.

Lavo has lots of eye candy for the visitors (especially the male guests). On hand is a model continuously bathing herself in the restaurant, female dancers, and other models acting out different historical scenarios. On the balcony, you will find a stash of hookahs with a “hookah master” helping you make the best choice.

This restaurant is managed by the same team that opened Tao nightclub in the Venetian Casino in 2005. Ever since the inauguration of this nightclub it has been one of the trendiest clubs in town, visited mostly by stars. Along with the Tao Asian Bistro and Tao Beach, these have been the highest grossing destinations in the U.S. since 2006. This should be a great addition for The Palazzo Las Vegas. There is already 3000 top of the line suites, the best shopping stores, and Vegas’ best shopping and eating.
